A Catholics Vote Common Good Victory for Children & Families
This past week saw a significant victory by Catholics Vote Common Good and Catholic leaders across the country who are committed to lifting up our most vulnerable citizens, with the passage of the expanded Child Tax Credit included in the Tax Relief for American Families Act of 2024. |

This tax credit is vital for improving the quality of life for American families. The Center on Budget and Policy Priorities states a half-million kids will be lifted out of poverty and about 5 million more will be less poor. |

Catholics Vote Common Good is grateful for the tireless efforts of Rep. Rosa DeLauro of Connecticut, the ranking Democrat on the House Appropriations Committee, and other Common Good legislators who helped lead bipartisan efforts on behalf of our nation's most vulnerable populations.
